What is a ear piercing?
Ear piercing is a family of placements across the cartilage and lobe of the ear, planned together rather than one at a time.
Ear piercing covers lobe, helix, conch, tragus, daith and rook placements. At our piercing studio in Istanbul we work with a curated ear approach: the anatomy is read first, the number and spacing of the holes are planned as one composition, and every point gets an implant-grade titanium labret or ring.

Healing
What the healing process looks like
First week
Tenderness & swelling
Mild swelling and throbbing in cartilage placements is normal. Sterile saline twice a day; avoid headphones and sleeping on that side.
Weeks 2–8
Settling
Crusting reduces and the area stabilises. Do not rotate the jewellery; keep hair products and pool water away.
Full healing
Lobe 6–8 weeks · cartilage 4–9 months
Once the channel matures, we can fit a suitable ring or end during a studio check-up.
