What is NEXA?
NEXA is a boutique tattoo and piercing studio in Istanbul, founded by realism artist Zafer Açıkgöz. It works appointment-only with custom designs — no flash walls, no walk-in queue.
Where exactly is NEXA located?
Küçükyalı Merkez Mah., Şale Sk. No:18B, 34840 Maltepe / Istanbul. It sits on the Anatolian side, minutes from Küçükyalı and Bostancı and roughly fifteen minutes from Kadıköy.
What kind of studio is it?
A single-station atelier: one artist and one client at a time, single-use needles and tubes, and a design process that starts with a free consultation rather than a catalogue.
Which tattoo styles does NEXA offer?
Fine line, realism, black and grey, blackwork, dotwork, geometric, illustrative, script lettering, tribal, watercolor, minimalist, colour, cover-up and portrait tattoos.
Does NEXA do piercings?
Yes. Ear, eyebrow, navel, tongue, nose and lip piercings are done with implant-grade titanium jewellery and sterile single-use tools.
Which districts is NEXA close to?
Küçükyalı, Maltepe, Bostancı, Kartal, Ataşehir and Kadıköy — all on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
How do I get there from Kadıköy or Bostancı?
The Marmaray and metro both stop at Küçükyalı; from Bostancı it is a ten-minute drive along the coastal road, and from Kadıköy about twenty minutes.
How does booking work?

Is every design custom?
Yes. Every tattoo at NEXA is drawn for one person and one placement; we do not repeat a design that already lives on someone's skin.
